Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reporting to Venue Manager or Zone Manager. The Building Engineer is expected to work and co-ordinate closely with Senior Maintenance Manager, Safety & Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, Planning Manager and other key persons in the organization.
Serve as Support Service Officer (Customer Service Officer), acts as Supervisor during event and normal time and coordinates all activities within the assigned building
Takes note of all event and assists in the necessary setups and identify requirements, coordinate with client and the end users
Perform audit and inspection of the building external and internal of any systems defects but not limited such mechanical, architectural, structural, electrical, heating & mechanical ventilation, landscape plants & its irrigation water systems, lightings structural etc
All defects are to be documented and Service Order to be issued
Discuss and inform with client and tenants on any Facilities System failure that requires immediate repairs
Conducts tool box meeting with Operation team on day to day issues, Proactive & Preventive Maintenance schedules, corrective or repair works, normal & emergency responses and procedures, follow up on outstanding Service Orders and etc
Monitoring work progress at building by contractors doing PPM and CM including work validation and certifications
Inform end users in advance before to carry out the PPM on site especially concerning any electrical power, air conditioning, water supply, and specialist system etc which needs shutdown or affect any users operation
Observe events, incidents, power outage, fire alarm, PPM work, service order progress are to be documented in Building Engineer daily report and submitted to Management.
Prepare and submit Incident Report timely within 24 hours
Raise Service Order for any defects found
Prepare daily reports and submit to Venue Manager (to submit by 8am)
Ensure compliance of all contractors pertaining to work safe procedures, safety, health & environmental matters. To report to Management for any non-compliance. (inclusive of housekeeping):
a. PTW system in place wherever required
b. LOTO process are followed
c. All necessary safety measures are in place at all times before contractor carry out any work.
Seek opinion, advice and information from clients, users, his Manager / Supervisor wherever required and if in doubt

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years wok experience in related field
Must be able to lead a team and be hands on to do trouble shootings
Able to work independently and has good follow up process to ensure customer’s satisfaction
Able to manage difficult subcontractors
Able to multi-task and take work pressure well
Good command in written and spoken English
Able to do report writing
Computer literacy
