Job description / Role
Our Reputable client is looking to take on board a Bursar & Business Manager role is one that would be expected in any busy and thriving college.
The role reports to the Head of the School and through her to the Council of Governors. The Bursar is responsible for support functions, including Finance, Human Resources, Legal, and IT,
The Bursar is supported by a management team comprising the Finance Manager, Network Manager, HR Officer.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
• likely be educated to degree level, with relevant professional qualifications;
• possess demonstrable and successful experience in business administration, either as an established
bursar or with transferable skills and experience gained in other sectors; possessing the flair and energy to take on such a role and with strong self-starting traits;
• be a collegiate and collaborative team-player capable of establishing a successful working relationship with the Head, the senior leadership team and the Council of Governors;
• be an efficient and highly competent senior manager centrally focused on securing the School’s financial and commercial success and directing a first-class administrative support team;
• be a strategic analyst and planner who, in partnership with the Head and the senior leadership team, will help to formulate and implement the School’s business development plan, delivering successful outcomes within time and on budget;
• be one who is totally business literate and fully understanding the importance of the need for the School
to be successful in a business and commercial context;
• be highly articulate with strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
