Job description / Role
Business Requirements Analysis
- Interfaces with clients and gains understanding of functional and non-functional requirements/processes and establish objectives and key success factors with the help of identified stakeholders through meetings and discussions.
- Develops client requirements via industry standard techniques such as data flow modeling, case analysis, workflow analysis, functional decomposition analysis, data modeling and object modeling
- Documents the results of analysis activities using the appropriate templates or analysis tools for approval by stakeholders
- Conduct impact analysis of requirements
- Conduct requirements review meetings.
- Develop requirements documents for approval by stakeholders.
- Coordinates with other business units (project and development teams, research and development, sales, quality assurance) to plan, negotiate and interpret information on projects
Design Support
- Presents functional design alternatives and develops functional specifications that document desired outcome of system enhancement / development
- Contribute to the preparation of Requirement Traceability Matrix for all functional and non-functional requirements
Project Support
- Assists the project and development teams in estimating project timeline, cost, and resource needs
- Conducts business requirement trade-off meetings to establish technically feasible solutions while keeping in mind the boundaries of scope, budget, and schedule
- Ensures effective and continuous support of the system and services to the project and development team by resolving any issues and concerns that may arise
Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a business analyst with at least two project implementations in the government sector
- Must Have exceptional communication skills, able to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
- Knowledge of UML and related Object Oriented Technology is must
- Proven record n managing large-scale IT project and systems implementations
- Familiarity with enterprise application integrations
- Willing to travel to different emirates 20% of the time
- Experience in projects with government in general (previous involvement with MOI or Law Enforcement Domain is an asset)
- Preferably in GCC
