Leading Regional Bank looking for a Business Analyst.

GROUP FUNCTION AND BUSINESS AREA PURPOSE:
Business Solutions Group (BSG) Focus Business (FB) manages the relationship management function for the business and serves as the interface for the IT needs of the various businesses.

The BSG team consists of relationship managers and business analysts who provide solutions scoping, requirements management, business assurance, vendor research, vendor evaluation and analysis functions to the business.

ROLE PURPOSE:
The role of Business Analyst in the IT department is to gather the business requirements with a focus on cards, analyse the requirements provided by users and prepare the business requirements document. The analyst is responsible for evaluating the requirements, collaborate with solution designers and propose the right fit solution to the business unit. This role must also contribute to the design of functional test case scenarios. The analyst will be responsible for ensuring quality in deliverables by executing sanity test cases.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Proactively initiate Business Requirements by discussing needs with users and conducting interviews/ workshops with Business Users
- Collaborate with IT Partner and Product/Process Experts with in business to understand and document the functional needs of the business units
- Conduct business solution analysis and develop detailed design of business (functional) requirements
- Document the requirements by evaluating and detailing the information gathered, and propose the right fit solution
- Collaborate with solution design team with in IT to establish the feasibility and right fit solution and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance requirements
- Develop detailed design of functional test scenarios
- Define user interface requirements
- Provide functional walkthrough of developed IT solution to Business Users
- Prepare Training Material for the IT solutions delivered and run trainings
- Capture Business requirements for Innovation projects
- Ensure quality of IT deliverable by executing sanity tests cases/scenarios

KEY STAKEHOLDERS BUSINESS ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Business partner (IT Relationship Managers), Product/Process experts (SME), Solution Architects & Delivery teams, Consumer Banking Group
- IT Partner (Business touch point), Testers (User Acceptance & Business Assurance) Update status on business initiatives to various stakeholders at regular intervals
- Gaps in system solution to address business processes

KEY ISSUES OVER THE NEXT 12 - 24 MONTHS:
- Migration of current cards platform to a robust platform
- Automation Cards operational processes

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Improvement in the quality of business requirement documents prepared by the business analyst
- Reduction in number of issues raised by users related to missing functionalities and gaps in the solution delivered
- Improvement in the contribution to development of functional test case scenarios
- Improvement in the efficiency of requirements gathering and requirement analyses done by the business analyst
- Reduction in the number of issues identified during business assurance testing
- Reduction in the number of issues arising from gaps in business analysis

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT company / IT department of a Bank in the Credit Cards domain
- In depth knowledge of Credit Card product with proper understanding of sales, business development, credit, operations and MIS function
- Should have sound knowledge about customer service for cards through various banking channels.
- Understanding on Data modelling is desirable
- Exposure to Business Analysis practices and tools is desirable.
- CBAP certification desirable

Skills:
- Business analysis and Project management
- Ability to document clear and complete business requirements
- Good analytical abilities to elicit the requirements, use cases, scenarios etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Ability to work on multiple tasks at the same time
- Ability to quickly develop technology awareness of IT solutions
