We are looking for x8 Business Analysts with various levels of experience to join the Project Delivery group for our Europe, Middle East and Africa Issuer processing platform

This position is within the Project Delivery team and requires someone with well-developed analytical skills to work with current clients, regulatory bodies and product management to identify business needs, legal/regulatory requirements and processing options. The ideal candidate has experience as an analyst in retail banking, consumer lending and credit / debit cars specifically. A background in card operations or product management is preferred and proven knowledge of revolving credit software, Cardpac, VisionPLUS are highly desirable.

Duties

The Business Analysts principal duties are:

Work with Programme Manager, Project Managers, Application Developers, Operational areas and the requestor to deliver project requirements
Understand all business requirements and to document these in a clear and concise way
Understand the purpose, benefit and any date imperatives of the project to the requestor
Define and own business requirements on complex, large and long term projects
Define the business requirements for new product concepts and product feature enhancements for existing products. Participate in developing project plans to develop new products
Perform gap analysis between other processing platforms and VisionPlus
Analyse and prepare business requirement documents that capture business and operational needs presented by the client
Working with Solutions Architects estimate the effort to develop functional specifications that solve the business requirements and develop, prepare and distribute functional specification documents following internal standards in accordance with approved project plans
Ensure that any technical evaluation or solution meets both the requirements and overall purpose
Understand any changes to requirements or scope and impact these may have on the potential solutions
Assist in educating trainers and support personnel on new product releases and updates
Guide and consult in the development of test plans and test scripts. Conduct Quality Inspections and participate in Quality Assurance testing
Provide sales support consultancy and conduct off-site requirement discoveries. Support customer visits and consultative sessions
Support the Project Manager at external Client sites as and when requested

The main development projects types the Senior Business Analyst will support are:

New products, enhancements and client bespoke development
Conversions of card and loan portfolios
Portfolio start-ups
System integration
Interfacing with Third Party solutions and other applications and systems
Strategic initiatives

The successful candidate will work independently in an unsupervised way on assigned tasks within overall constraints defined by your immediate manager. You will take the initiative in building a network of contacts within the EMEA organisation, interfacing with multiple IT Groups and business units. Requires high amount of independent discretion and decision-making.

Business Analysts will provide coaching to business functions and lower level analysts on moderately to complex issues. Must be able to consult with users in determining system functional specifications. The Senior Business Analyst will also be expected to provide guidance/supervision/mentoring to the Business Analysts.

Qualifications

Business Analysts must have five years of related experienced
University degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting or Marketing or ISEB Business Systems Development (BSD) as an acceptable alternative to the degree
Expert in using MS Office products especially WORD, EXCEL and PowerPoint. Competent in MS-Project
Experience of using 3270 emulation or GUI front ends
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Proficiency in English is essential, other European languages are advantages
Analytical probing mind
Background in development (e.g. Vision PLUS) and full SDLC knowledge
Awareness of commercial sensitivity is paramount
Ability to facilitate meetings, reviews and workshops involving internal and external participants
A request to travel and work within commercial pressures
