Business Analyst Energy
Salary: up to AED 22,000 based on experience plus family medical insurance
Location: Dubai

Our Client is a leading Trade Association providing dedicated services to help members understand, identify and pursue business opportunities globally.
A non profit organization established more than 60 years ago has a Global presence with a membership of over 650 companies who deliver goods and services to the energy industries worldwide.
An office in the UAE was established just over 10 years ago and effectively responsible for the Middle East and North Africa including the CIS region.
We are seeking a Business analyst from the Energy sectors to join their team as soon as possible

Key Role
- To take ownership and responsibility for the provision and accuracy of project data that is available to the organizations members via DataStream across the energy sector, including Oil & Gas, Subsea, LNG, Pipelines, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Nuclear and Renewables.
- To provide in a timely manner high quality, comprehensive, precise and accurate project information to populate DataStream.
- To research, compile and distribute relevant information to give members better understanding of imminent and critical developments in the region through DataStream and various company publications.
- Continually work towards acquiring a high level understanding of the various sectors and the geographies of the region.
- Provide project tracking and specific contract information to enhance the Organizations Global Database, DataStream and ensure that all information added is of the highest quality, accurate and provided in a timely manner.
- Responsibility for DataStream ME data and ensuring that regular QC checks of the information are undertaken.
- Inform the Head of Oil and Gas and PNR of any gaps in the data and assist in identifying ways of reducing these gaps.
- To assist the Regional Director in developing and delivering sector based events and briefings for Organizations members and stakeholders.
- Propose any improvements and changes to the functionality of the database system that would enhance the product that can be from your own user experience or from the membership directly.
- To contribute to the MENA Monthly News Brief, Monthly Newsletter, bi-annual Energy Focus and other publications as required.
- To research and obtain information from publications, local operators, contractors and sub-contractors.
- To develop and maintain network of contacts with all sectors of the Oil & Gas and Power, Nuclear and Renewables industries.
- To monitor market trends and highlight new developing areas that would be of benefit to organizations membership.

Requirements

- Excellent IT skills and presentation skills
- Team worker as well as being highly self motivated
- Excellent technical understanding of the Energy / petrochemical industry sector
- Minimum of 5 years experience within the energy / petrochemical industry
- Business awareness and the ability to identify key contract and financial information
- Ability to decipher information and write comprehensive, precise and accurate reports.
- Ability to develop and maintain network of contacts.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Results oriented and attention to detail
- Strategic thinker: ability to see the bigger picture and to work with the O&G and PNR teams to contribute to both teams goals and organizational objectives.
- Full adherence to the local laws as directed by UAE Federal Government requirements
- Excellent Communication skills in English and very strong interpersonal skills.
- Communication in Arabic would be an advantage but not essential
- Preference will be given to candidate who are currently in the UAE and have UAE experience.
- Candidates having experience within one of the GCC countries are also encouraged to apply
