Job description / Role
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Interact with the users to gather core business requirements and also act as a facilitator between the SMEs and vendor resources.
• Participate in the project scoping workshop. Design smart and scalable solutions following the banks development standards with a view of Front to Back solutions where industrialization of processes and maximization of STP is paramount where possible.
• Mentor existing technical teams and take the lead on MUREX Development Projects where necessary aligning and working within the relevant project structure and reporting to the respective Senior Project Manager. This may or may not result in direct man management responsibilities.
• Participate in the interface requirement workshops and Migration workshops for providing functional feedback
• Provide functional walkthrough of developed solution to Business Users. Prepare Training Material for the solutions delivered and run trainings.
3 month contract role which will move to permanent
Requirements
Functional Knowledge:
• Good understanding of the Treasury Mid office and market risk functions like limit monitoring, PL computation and attribution, risk measurement esp. VaR etc to conceptualize relevant system requirements.
• Overall understanding of the Treasury process flows and the relevance of Market Risk / Mid office functions within the entire value Chain.
• The ability to document clear and precise business requirements and be able to marry this to the appropriate technology solution.
• Development Estimates and Resource Planning (inclusive of time management and budget ownership for development assignments)
• Good analytical abilities to elicit the requirements, Use cases, scenarios etc
Technical Knowledge:
• Configuration of VAR and Scenario Analysis in Murex
• Working knowledge of Data Mart
• Good understanding of Murex risk reporting architecture
• Simulation screens.
