Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in IT.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in capturing customer requirements for software projects. Ability to guide business sponsors to select reasonable options given time, budget, and technology constraints.
• Experience in translating business requirements to software requirement specifications. Experience in documenting user requirements using various methods like use cases, user stories, wireframes etc.
• Experience translating business requirements into a Business Intelligence (BI) solution using Microsoft tools, including PowerPivot, PowerView, SSRS, SSAS, and PerformancePoint. Some technical knowledge of ETL and in-memory cube design principals, patterns and standard uses. Able to work with implementers to communicate business requirements and validate proper implementation. Able to guide business users in operation of the BI tools and reports as delivered.
• Knowledge of the Tools and methodologies required for Requirement Gathering (Visio, User Sequence Diagrams, As is process etc.)
• A conscientious and dependable team member who is accountable and driven to exceed expectations.
• Effective oral and written communication skills including proactive status reporting. Able to create and deliver effective presentations to senior business and IT managers.
• Ability to work with minimal direction and actively within a team environment.
• Good presentation and problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of software development processes – Waterfall and Agile
• Experience in estimating software development projects

Requirements

Highly Desirable Requirements

• Relevant knowledge / IT certification in Microsoft BI / SharePoint.
• Knowledge / Awareness of SharePoint Out of the Box features.
• Ability to provide consultancy on BI projects
• Awareness of latest trends in Web applications.
• Awareness of usability concepts.
• Ability to lead & guide a team from conceptualization to delivery.
• Oil and Gas industry knowledge
• Knowledge of standard project management methodologies, e.g. PMI, Prince2, CVP, etc. Certification in any of these is a plus.
