The Role


Position Summary:
Would work as a liaison among Treasury stakeholders (Front, Middle, Back Office and Finance) in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems. The business analyst understands Treasury related business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends IT solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Understands how information technology interfaces with the functional groups within an organization. Analyzes and documents business requirements and processes. Constructs conceptual data and process models, including data dictionaries and volume estimates. Works with the Test Manager to test business applications from a business perspective to verify that all client and stakeholder requirements are incorporated into the design. Facilitates meetings with stakeholders to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions. Leads Treasury work groups and work sessions to explore business process improvement and re-engineering opportunities and documents associated output in standard Bank formats. Represents the Bank when liaising with vendors in terms of business requirements , support and training. Manages vendors in a professional manner ensuring that Treasury are suitable supported, trained, all necessary systems fixes are delivered and tested in a timely manner.

Specific tasks include:
•Facilitate Business to articulate and specify requirements by
•Reviewing as-is processes, and assessing improvement opportunities
•Developing to-be operating model, processes and capturing functional requirements
•Support vendor selection process by
•Providing input to preparation of RFI / RFP vendor / solution evaluation criteria
•Supporting vendor / solution evaluation assessment
•Review solution design to ensure that the specified business requirements are met
•Prepare test scenarios / scripts and support running of UAT (if required)
•Execute necessary integration test(s) (SIT / UAT) from business perspective
•Support training (if required)
•Review quality of delivered user / training manual
•Prepare SLA and amend procedure manual as part of go-live preparation
•Creates functional description
•Facilitate vendor to capture configuration parameter and detailed requirements
•Writing blueprints

Experience:
•Extensive Treasury banking knowledge (5 years +) from a front, middle, back office and finance perspective in a business analysis function

•Experience of Misys OPICS system
•Experience of SWIFT messaging
•Experience of the following products:

 Money market loans - fixed, notice and call
 Money market deposits - fixed, notice and call

Ability to understand user issues and translates them into requirements for the technology group and, conversely, translates technology issues into a format understandable to non-technical personnel. Assists in integration tests of business applications to ensure user requirements have been incorporated and client expectations have been satisfied
Business Generates conceptual business model view documentation and assists in defining meaningful data entity definitions. Develops standards, templates, and procedures to aid in the development of work products.
