Position Summary
To research, analyse, interpret and report information from the external and internal business environments in support of management decision making on existing business activities and new opportunities
Role
Key Performance Indicators
• Research external and internal sources for relevant business data and information and maintain in appropriate databases
• Analyse, interpret and disseminate information in reports to support management decision making
• Perform the following analyses:
o PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal, Environmental)
o SWOT
o Competitor and industry
o Product sales and market segment feasibility
o Product sales performance
o Product price forecasts
o Business risk
o High level economic feasibility on business opportunities
• Coordinate the compilation of the business strategy document by securing input and feedback from relevant contributors identified by the Country President and Business Manager
• Establish regional (Middle East) business intelligence center of expertise (CoE)
• Manage data provider subscriptions and consultancy agreements
• Establish and maintain effective internal networks to facilitate appropriate knowledge transfer between business units and across business development initiatives
Requirements
Job Requirements
Relevant B-Degreeat NQF Level 6 in Commerce or Engineering
Preferred Postgraduate qualification in Business Management (e.g. MBA)
8 years’ experience
Knowledge & skills
Able to research, analyse, interpret and report qualitative and quantitative data across the business information spectrum (political, economic, financial, marketing, technology, legal and environmental)
Analytical thinking, methodical and attention to detail
