The RoleThe RoleNew York University Abu Dhabi seeks to appoint a Business Analyst. Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Planning and Organizational Effectiveness at NYUAD, the job-holder will be responsible for the analysis and assessment of organizational needs and project requirements. Additionally, the Business Analyst will aid the Project Manager in the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific project deliverables. The Analyst will ensure that the effort devoted to the projects is consistent with University strategy, commitments and goals. The Analyst will support the development of theProject Services Office at NYUAD through effective and efficient delivery of processes and systems to administrators across the University. Specifically, for assigned projects, the Analyst will analyze and document business requirements, user functional specifications and create business cases as needed. The Analyst will understand, analyze and document business processes and workflows. Based on this understanding, the Analyst will identify gaps to highlight areas for process improvement and provide reports and updates on findings. The gap analysis will ensure compliance with guidelines, controls, policies, and procedures. Lastly, the Analyst will communicate with departmental unit heads to ensure expectations and requirements are met and managed. |
RequirementsRequirementsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent; MBA preferred EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS •2-4 years’ experience in a project management office or equivalent educational experience •2-4 years’ experience preparing reports and presentations for management and stakeholders •Experience with administrative systems as used in higher education •Experience partnering with teammates to develop, analyze and manage administrative processes and projects •Knowledge of and experience in working in a diverse global business environment REQUIRED SKILLS •Excellent command of MS Office suite of tools: Excel, Word, Visio, Project and PowerPoint •Fluent written and spoken English, Arabic a plus •Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills •Excellent organization and planning skills •Demonstrated success in adapting to rapidly changing circumstances •Demonstrated ability to contribute to team building and thrive in a team environment |
