Job description / Role
A high profile banking client based in the UAE is actively looking for a bright and innovative Data / Business Analyst to join a growing team as part of a major transformation programme within Group IT.
Working as part of a larger business analytics team, the main responsibility for the Business Analyst will be to perform complex mathematical and statistical analysis for management information and business intelligence purposes within the bank.
The successful Data Analyst will be tasked with managing various stakeholders across the business as well as working with strategic marketing and sales teams to help interpret the analytical findings for use within the business.
Requirements
Candidates should have a strong mathematical and statistical background, ideally with relevant qualifications within this area.
They should also have an appreciation and ideally working knowledge of advanced analysis techniques such as segmentation, clustering, profiling and modeling.
From a technical standpoint, candidates should be familiar with the statistical tool SAS, and ideally other BI technologies such as Oracle OBIEE and Cognos reporting.
Candidates should have strong communication skills in English and ideally Arabic also, to help interpret and communicate analytical findings with the wider team.
Ideally candidates will have some relevant banking experience, but other background will be considered.
