Job description / Role
Lockheed Martin (LM) Mission Systems and Training (MST), represented by its Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) Line of Business in Orlando, Florida, is seeking candidates for a business development position with a focus on the Middle East pilot training market. Candidate would work both independently and as a part of a team to shape and win large, integrated, performance-based flying training opportunities.
Standard Job Description:
- Leads the identification, qualification and capture of new business opportunities.
- Develops and maintains a consultative relationship with customers and serves as a thought leader in military training.
- Ensures the customers requirements are understood and the customers voice is heard in the new business capture process.
- Serves as relationship manager with potential teammates and subcontractors.
- Represents Lockheed Martin at executive-level customer meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
- Leads market research activities.
- Delivers executive-level presentations on new business opportunities and leads teams to develop opportunity-specific win strategies.
- Collaborates to develop company new business and investment strategies.
- Serve as business development lead for military training in the Mid-East region, with a specific focus on large-scale, integrated (turn-key) training opportunities.
In this capacity, candidate will establish and grow consultative relationships with customers with the objective of shaping and understanding customer requirements. In addition, candidate will evaluate and establish relationships with potential industry partners. Candidate will serve as the business development lead for a major new business capture campaign, working closely with program management, engineering, communications, contracts, and other functional areas.
Requirements
- Proven business development skill-set in the mid-east market space.
- Knowledge of acquisition processes and familiarity with relevant government agencies.
- Working knowledge of industry capabilities in the area of military training.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Military or industry experience in delivering in military flight training.

Typical Minimums:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
