Job description / Role
• Liaise with outside developers/project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Responsible for contract administration responding to queries and/or requirements
• Report on progress against agreed KPI’s collecting information from internal and external sources
• Report adequately on the overall project performance including the follow-up and analysis of construction workflow/delays, project cost/billing, contractor/subcontractors performance, budget etc.
• Supervise/coordinate the preparation of all studies related to investment opportunities
• Prepare investment reports to support management in making investment decisions
• Provide commercial insight to the business
• Work with finance and non-finance people to discuss business/financial performance
• Development of business cases associated with real estate transactions.
• Work closely with the Real Estate Finance and Business Development team to construct financial model and business case development for transactions
• Supports strategic planning frameworks for aggregating Divisional business requirements into prioritized Group initiatives
• Responsible for the development of quantitative models for aggregating the performance of portfolio holdings; models include master plan scenarios, lease-versus-buy analysis, etc.
• Perform portfolio and market analysis as well as M&A due diligence for new leases, purchase/sales transactions and dispositions
• Perform lease and sublease analysis and market research with Divisional Teams
• Recommends/supports financial calculations of portfolio impacts, including considerations for write-offs, opportunity costs, avoidance, etc.
• Supports development of presentations for meetings with key strategic planning stakeholders
• Responsible for the integrity of financial models and analysis prepared by brokers and/or consultants
• Supports benchmarking efforts and comparison against best practice
• Undertake other ad-hoc projects
• Effective problem solving and communication skills
• Expertise in project management
• Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
• Background in real estate strategy development
• Experience running and generating reports
• Financial modeling and business case development skills
• Ability to understand design concepts
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
• Ability to simultaneously manage a wide variety of tasks
• Understanding of research methods and data interpretation
Requirements
• Engineering qualification and/or Accounting/Finance qualification an added advantage
• 7+ years’ experience gained in a real estate development/architectural company/investment environment
• Knowledge of accounting and finance principles including Real Estate Finance and investment strategies
