The Role

Edge Resourcing is searching for a Business Development Director on behalf of a leading consumer electronics organization in the region.

The Successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Identifies trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
• Identifying or proposing potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
• Screening potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
• Developing and negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
• Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
• Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Enhancing organization reputation

Requirements

Ideally the successful candidate will be based in Iraq or happy to relocate to Iraq and a native Arabic speaker. As you will have a very senior team reporting into you, it is vital that the successful candidate has strong management experience. Business Development experience within the consumer electronics industry is also essential, ideally someone who is running a business and currently a General Manager or Director of Sales.
