Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose:

• The purpose of the role is to develop, using all of the tools available to you, business from existing and new customers in order to reach and exceed predefined targets set by company Management.

• Development Airfreight business from and to Saudi Arabia in line with the Tonnage and GP targets set.

• Further Development and retention of existing customer base, and focus on new customer development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads the sales process in identifying, contacting and creating relationships with new or assigned clients.

• You should be very comfortable and polished in all types of client interaction, scheduling meetings, making presentations, negotiating rate quotations.

• Support the effective and seamless implementation and hand-over of new business to the operations team.

• Assist in market research and support the production of sales and marketing plans for the Saudi market.

• Responsible to ensure volumes & revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets

• You will be expected to develop and manage all the customers assigned to you at all times.

• Work closely between existing clients and Product to ensure their current support is maintained

• Identify new opportunities within these clients, and with Product support secure new business

• Maintain and expand existing client relations.
Usage of KN Sales Program VLOG is required. All customer opportunity reporting must be visible in VLOG.

• You will be an expert on all company product/service offerings and manage the sale of these offerings in a disciplined and direct manner ( 2 Daily Visit Reports, Proper & Complete Opportunities ).

• You will be selling Airfreight primarily but not restricted to the company's core products and services which include international transportation (ocean, air), door delivery trucking, warehousing, insurance and other logistic services.

• You will be expected to service all orders, quotes, follow-ups and customer communication.

• You will participate in a weekly sales department meeting.

• You will enjoy excellent support from the company and be expected to utilize all resources and tools at your disposal to ensure success and appropriate customer service.

• You must comply with all regulatory requirements & company’s policies.

• Identify new target accounts as agreed by National Sales Manager/Product and develop relationship and business

• Meet and exceed targets as predefined in Incentive Scheme by KN

• Contribute to KN Saudi Arabia achieving annual set targets & budget

• Provide continuous feedback on market rates and conditions to Product Business Units

• Maintain VLog inputs for all client activities and opportunities

• Ensure Client ID’s are entered into VLOG (ACON/etc..) to ensure all data capture correctly in SPMS.

• Conduct sales assigned projects & campaigns as required by National Sales Manager/Product

• Ensure that all KN’s Products & Solutions are presented and known to the customers including Air, Sea, Customs Clearance, Delivery, Cargo Insurance, Contract Logistics, Road Transport, and the full Value Added Solutions Package.

Requirements

Experience / Skills:

• You must have a track record of sales in the international freight forwarding arena especially in Airfreight.

• Proven track record of selling international freight forwarding services in our market

• Experience of developing and selling solutions

• Diploma/Degree in Business, Logistics or equivalent experience - a related field preferred

• Minimum 2 years experience in freight forwarding / logistics / transportation industry with a focus on Airfreight Sales required;

• 2 years field sales experience required, experience with both sales Account Management and Business Development functions preferred

• Experience with Logistics processes, systems and solutions

• Seasoned listening skills

• Good analytical skills, demonstrated attention to detail

• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills.

• Must be self-motivated with a professional approach.

• Ability to work independently, and Ability to organize and multi-task.

• Computer skills

• Ability to travel locally and at times nationally/internationally if & when required.

• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Able to speak persuasively in positive or negative situations. Self-disciplined, strong leadership and motivational abilities

• Be a results-oriented team player
