Business Development Executive (Insurance Broker and Risk Services)
* A Business Development Executive is responsible for the achievement of budgeted business
targets through:
- the development of new business leads, and
- the development of business from existing clients of the Company
* The Business Development Executive would be required to service the needs of his client
portfolio to ensure that the clients receive a consistent service throughout.
* This is a controlled position (in view of the customer facing role), hence employment is subject
to QFCRA Approval.

Reporting to: Senior Management (Reports directly to COO and CEO, Qatar).
Direct Subordinates: Account Handler (Insurance Broker and Risk Services)

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility at account level for developing and servicing a client portfolio and to ensure all
expectations for delivery of professional advice and service to each client and/ or prospect are fulfilled
in accordance with procedures and guidelines, including:
* Meet clients and prospects and present the organization to them, as well as explain the role and
purpose of a broker and the utility in appointing a broker;
* Prepare and deliver client presentations and hold client meetings;
* Make and present proposals to clients in respect of insurance requirements to be acquired in
order to cover their risks appropriately;
* Ensuring clients requirements are addressed expediently and within deadlines, be they specific
or implied;
* Complying with guidelines in force for all business placements;
* Properly presenting insurance policies and other documentation to the client and that the client
is made aware of any pertinent or significant policy conditions, exclusions or warranties;
* Ensuing the adequacy and appropriateness of insurance portfolio coverage for all clients;
* Keeping regular personal client contact to ensure familiarity with the clients operations;
* Communicating with clients any progress/ additional requests/ confirmations regarding their
renewals or claims;
* Timely collection of all client premium/ fee and other dues;
* Promoting the best possible broker and underwriter relationship;
* Processing of mid-term policy adjustment expeditiously, from notification to the insurer,
through to verification and billing of policy endorsements, processing and monitoring of claims
in accordance with claims service guidelines from initial notification to insurer thorough to
pursuit of settlement cheque and payment to insured;
* Work with immediate superiors to achieve revenue growth through new/ existing business
opportunities.

Requirements

Required Profile:
- GCC Experience
- Previous Business Development experience in a similar role
- General Insurance Experience
- minimum 3-5 years experience
- Professional Insurance qualification is a must
