The Role


PURPOSE

Based in Dubai, the purpose of this role is to set, direct and implement Qatar, Oman & Yemen country and business strategies, objectives and targets. This purpose will be met by working with designated clients to grow the existing business, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the introduction and implementation of new products and services. This role will manage all aspects of the relationship between Visa and designated clients, acquire new clients and focus on business growth and client satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Management of business development in Qatar, Oman & Yemen.
• Create a greater depth of awareness of the services of Visa International and the role that Visa plays in the banking industry with the objective of positioning Visa as the strategic and preferred business partner in the markets.
• Develop account strategies to increase revenues from existing accounts and win new accounts, by integrating priorities based on information from the geographies;
• Coordinate the strategic alignment of business plans with other functional areas;
• Manage the overall strategic relationships with decision-makers at client banks, partner companies and with central banks and national banking associations in markets;
• Assist marketing and product development in the launching of new products / expanding the penetration of existing products within current and new accounts;
• Provide operational / technical leadership within sales
• Ensure implementation of annual goals and plans
• Manage others.

• Bachelor's Degree
• Extensive sales and retail banking experience and expertise
• Extensive knowledge of Visa, other payment systems, card products within the Qatar, Oman & Yemen region
• Proven experience at liaising, presenting to, influencing and negotiating with senior level international and central bankers, regulators, merchants, media, domestic switches, third party vendors and other key external stakeholders
• Sales management experience
• Excellent project management and budgeting skills
• Independent worker with guidance in only the more complex situations
• Proficient in MicroSoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Interpersonally credible, influential in dealings and sensitive to the multicultural environment
• Ability to travel within the Middle East
• Fluency in English and superior verbal and written communication skills (Arabic preferred)
