Business Development Manager/ Account Manager - Arabic Speaking - DOHA/ QATAR - SPORTS Industry

Job Name: SALES KEY ACCOUNT OFFICER MIDDLE EAST Based in Doha, Qatar
Target market: Middle East, Arabic Speaking

* Government owned Sports brand - behind some of the biggest Clubs in the World.
* Salary depending on experience - 15,000-18,000 QAR monthly (Tax Free) + Bonus + Benefits

Role Purpose:
- To develop sales and distribution opportunities within the Middle East region (outside Qatar) in compliance with the business and distribution strategy
- To establish and develop relationships with group of retailers and distributors within the Middle East region

Reports to: Head of Commercial.
Responsible for: Optimizing revenues, profit and market share.

Key Generic Activities Tasks

1. SALES STRATEGY
- Develop and implement sales and distribution strategy for each specific local market within the Middle East region (outside Qatar).
- Implement short and long term planning and expense control to reach and exceed sales targets, KPIs and profitability goals
- Develop annual and quarterly plan and ensure strategy is maintained.
- Analyze customer profiles, buying trends, and competitive information to impact and drive business
- Ensure Brand differentiation by identifying market opportunities

2. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the highest level of service and technical expertise each season from sell-in to sell-through.
- Achieve sales goals by quarter and by category as defined by Head of Sales
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with all levels of account management and internal departments that work with regional accounts.
- Deliver sales forecasts to appropriate parties before or on deadline.
- Executive team sport range for GTM in recommended territories.
- Ability to prospect business deals with organizations and to expand the brand presence across other channels.
- Deliver all orders by booking deadline.
- Manage regional through business planning, inventory control and analysis.
- Define account strategic needs, in brief form, for submission to the merchandising team for creation of key account seasonal buys (clubs, federations, military and para military organizations)
- Work as a liaison between operations and sales.
- Work cross functionally to contribute and collaborate on the Account Marketing and Promotional plan.
- Ensure that all marketing and promotional collaterals are delivered to Key outlets on time.
- To ensure seasonal merchandise are supplied and displayed according to event calendar.
- Deliver all required reports, example: weekly sell-thru analysis, on time, marketing requirements
- Closely working with Head of Sales to support in regional sales plan for preparing annual sales forecast.
- Suggest the sales Head in appropriate measure to clear the stocks.

Requirements

Knowledge Required:
1. Understanding of the athletic industry, marketplace and trends is preferred
2. Sports Marketing
3. Brand management
4. Strong understanding of retail buying & sales and distribution process, policies and procedures
5. Retail math, seasonal assortment planning, business planning and retailer relationships 6. Account management, account planning, forecasting and managing sales growth
7. Merchandising, sales and operations activities,
8. Inventory control, sales, customer service, systems
9. Developing and executing retail business plans

Skills Required:
1. Communication and interpersonal skills
2. Negotiation skills
3. Presentation Skills
4. Sales coaching skills

Characteristics:
- 4-6 Years experience in Footwear, Apparel or FMCG with relevant experience in sales and trade marketing.
- Exceptional follow through and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of the Middle East Market (in B2B, Retail and Shop in Shop format).
- Ability to effectively manage your time and work against business deadlines.
- High level of energy, initiative and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of wholes and retail sales practices.
- Strong analytical, overall business orientation.
- Ability to define problems, collect raw data, establish facts and make recommendations on business level.
- Open communication/good listening skills.
- Technical product knowledge.
- Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using PowerPoint and spreadsheet software tools.
- Ability to meet the sales targets.
- Excellent communication Skill, fluent in English and Arabic
