Employment: Full Time

Our client is an international pump manufacturer with offices through the MENA region and worldwide. Established over fifty years ago, they are a billion US Dollar Turnover Company; first established their offices in the UAE over 10 years providing bespoke pumping manufacturing solutions to a number of industries.

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to work closely with a team in developing a new line of business opportunities within their existing pumping business. You will work closely with the General Manager to identify new sales opportunities for their Automation, Monitoring and Control services.

You will be an expert in the automation, monitoring and control applications solutions; working with a team of mechanical engineers providing technical support, product training, industry information and assistance to sales staff, distributors on a range of matters for relevant customers and consultants.

In marketing our Clients automation products on a regional basis, you will be required to liaise with channel partners, consultants and large customers.

An an expert, you will have market information on the competition, market trends, industry surveys, new product sales opportunities; tracks day-to-day market developments, and works to develop a wider understanding of regional issues, customer requirements and competitive influences through a critical understanding of current and potential markets. You will provide relevant and detailed reports to our Clients senior management team. In addition, the role proactively interfaces providing technical support and advice for customers and partners, providing qualified opinion and advice.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering
8 years + experience in the water, wastewater automation, monitoring & control product industry; with a sound knowledge of pumps industry applications
Previous work experience in a sales marketing function with well developed sales and business management skills; and experience of working to sales targets, quotas
