BDM Health & Beauty - Africa

A diversified group of companies specializing in procurement, Retail & distribution within Angola is currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager - Health and Beauty Category. You will be directly reporting to the Business Unit Manager

Scope of Work:
- Build a 5 years road map including development of a range of products with big item sales and with high value margins under our own brand while keeping synergy with our current or future international brands in this category.
- To build an understanding and insight into the African consumer needs and habits in the Health & Beauty category i.e. To conduct Market Research
- Handle all Health & beauty portfolio sourcing (mostly under 3rd party toll manufacturing contract)
- Develop and create sourcing plans and requests for proposal
- Build and understand the consumer insights and trend in health & Beauty category
- Monitor stock and sales, planning new shipments in due time
- Build a proper launch plan with clear distribution and brand building activities
- Build price structure
- Support operating companies in Africa to successfully launch the categories.
- Plan, direct and coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing new products in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications,
- Negotiate Agreements and agreements related duties
- Plan and execute activities to re-enforce product brand awareness, such as usage of media and product promotions
- Issue periodic reports to suppliers on product performance, where we hold distribution of the respective product
- Set up category KPI's and report them on a weekly basis
- Organize and implement the launching of new products
- Liaise with category manager of the Operating companies

Requirements

- Understanding consumers and shoppers
- Develops brand visions and plans that build equity and business
- Develops and launches consumer and shopper
- Creates integrated communications
- Build brands through customers
- Monitors progress and takes action
- Portuguese language is a plus
- University degree, ideally in Business Administration - Marketing
- Minimum of five years' experience in the Health & beauty in Africa
- Frequent travels to Africa
