Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To efficiently plan, promote, organize and execute the sales activities of Freightworks (FW) products within the territory.

To ensure that Freightworks receives the maximum exposure and to successfully achieve sales and marketing targets by implementing pre-designed strategies and exploiting all business opportunities to safeguard and develop the corporate image in the local and international markets.

Customer Service and Orientation:
The Job holder is responsible for sales and marketing of Freightworks products in the territory and hence should be friendly, cheerful, patient and polite. He should be receptive to the needs of the customer and the trade and be able to respond to questions promptly thereby making the sale of products through the freight trade easy and without any hesitation.

Initiative and Commitment to Achieve:
The job holder is responsible for implementing pre-designed sales and promotional plans in the territory. He must set and monitor achievable yet stretching objectives and targets to ensure increased market share and revenue from sales. He/She must go beyond the defined job role, recognise potential opportunities and proactively utilise them to crease product awareness and enhance revenue earning opportunities for Freightworks.

Influence and Negotiation:
The job holder needs to understand the personal and business motives of the others and relate to them in order to strengthen their trust and confidence in Freightworks. He/She should highlight the advantages and benefits offered by Freightworks in order to increase sales and revenues.

Communication Skills:
The Job holder will be dealing directly with customers and hence it is important that all communication is clear and concise so that it is easily understood. He/she also needs to encourage to two way conversation to ensure that all parties are able to communicate their views. He/she should be very careful with the content, tone and language of all written communication to ensure proper understanding of information.

Planning & Organising:
This is one of the main competencies for the job. The role holder will have to assist the Director Commercial Operations in planning the marketing and sales strategies so as to increase revenue and the customer base in the territory. He/she will have to plan and organise activities within the guidelines set by the Director Commercial Operations.

Professional Knowledge:
The Job holders should possess a wide understanding of professional issues related to freight forwarding that adds value to work output. He/she should utilise the knowledge to maximise and satisfy the customer needs and expand and develop further services.
