Business Development Manager

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager's who will report directly to the CEO and will be directly responsible for generating revenue to meet business targets. The Business Development Manager's aim is to attract new customers and strategically improve the company's market position for financial growth. Those working in business development create and implement a business development strategy to identify new business opportunities, build customer relationships and negotiate and close business deals.

Main Responsibilities:

* Reporting to the CEO, the candidate would have to identify Business development opportunities and prepare an action plan to achieve the goals.
* Plan, lead, promote and manage the operation to achieve set objectives, budgets and Business plan. Prepare and implement procedures, guidelines and standards for the operation. Ensures strategic operational improvements.
* Market intelligence to understand both, existing real estate development activity (geographic location, asset class, value) as well as future planned developments based on growth targets and economic activity across the region.
* Effective lead generation and credentials pitch, followed by outreach through meetings, calls, communication and follow-up, to maintain and build active pipeline.
* Assist in writing, synthesizing and editing proposals & pricing, and oversee the submission of the completed packages, including all necessary attachments, and other favorable deliverables to create high-quality proposals are submitted within agreed timelines, followed by negotiation and closure.
* Assist in technical proposals, capability and staffing sections and other areas as appropriate; contribute to the technical approach sections of proposals as required.
* Gain and share understanding of prospect's organization, processes, business strategies, product or service offerings and decision-making structures and conduct market intelligence and analysis on selected targets and competitors.
* Articulate to clients & prospects the benefits of the client's approach and educate them about new ideas and new ways of thinking.
* Develop new business lines and markets and present business case/plan to senior management for approval and implementation.
* Evaluate strategic options like Joint Ventures, Strategic Alliances, acquisition etc.
* A knowledge of corporate functions and management practices including a working knowledge of property-related activities, real estate strategies, and the joining together of them with corporate objectives is necessary.
* Incumbent of this position is required to perform specific job duties will include writing proposals, preparing presentations, developing budgets, financial analysis, preparing internal approval documents, updating trackers and collaterals and following up and finalizing case studies, debriefs and other BD related studies.

Requirements

What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?

* Degree or MBA from a recognized and reputable institution or equivalent.
* Mid career professional (7 years work experience in real estate development or real estate finance, with the last 4 years being Business Development in UAE).
* Report writing skills.
* Sector specific knowledge of the UAE real estate industry is essential.
* High degree of initiative and entrepreneurial spirit, with strong analytical skills.
* Strong presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal capability, both internal and external.
* Demonstrated success at new business development.
* Possesses great people skills with the ability to cultivate and maintain positive relationships.
* A thorough knowledge of real estate development strategy and execution.
* Candidate must have excellent analytical, decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills.
