Employment: Full Time

Purpose of the Role:

* Following the acquisition of a new company leading in its market (Queue Management Solutions), a new position of Business Development Manager (BDM) has been createdwithin our Dubai office.
* This role requires from the successful candidate tohave technical and sales qualifications as well as experience in the field of IT related services and solutions to Government, financial organisation, Retail, Transport and Telecoms. The BDM will be working in cooperation with an existing product manager in order to get full technical information support on our new range of Queue Management solutions software for developing new business and supporting existing customers in the GCC, and existing distributors in the Middle East and Africa.
* The BDM will be in charge of identifying new potential customer/distributors/re-sellers in countries within Middle East and Africa where the company is not directly or indirectly present.
* Make regular visit to existing and potential customers/distributors/re-sellers within the Middle East and Africa
* To undertake desktop business development research to generate new leads and inquiries, including first contact to establish appointments.

Key Tasks

Actively support existing distributors/customers and finding new ones by ensuring:
they get full technical information by arranging customer presentation with the distributor/partner
engaging in pre sales activity by performing pro active sales actions directly with the end user with or without the distributor/re-seller.
Provide Quotations / responses on the same working day from receipt of enquiry
Provide customer follow-up to quotes, media enquiries, telephone enquiries and samples
Ensure customers are fully briefed on latest product initiatives and promotions
Ensure customers/partners receive product training and support
Provide pro-active sales calls to support sales target achievement, budgets and initiatives

Requirements

THIS ROLE IS LOOKING TO PAY A BASIC OF AROUND 18,000 AED + COMMISSION.

Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills in Arabic, English and French.
Extensive knowledge of customer base and contacts
Develop leads and enquiries through basic desktop research
SQL Server 2008 administration;
WIN : Desktop: XP and Win 7; Server: 2008 (2003 if possible);
Networking: TCP/IP; DCOM; Remoting; Routers; Gateways; Switching; Sub-nets; Wireless communications;
ISS (internet information services, web server): ASP .net; Web Services; XML (understanding);
Hardware: Cabling (installation and maintenance); Knowledge in some connectors standards (RJ45, DB, etc);
Basic Knowledge in some electronics concepts: Firmware; Embedded systems; Drivers;
Sales experience in selling IT solutions to large organisation in the Government, finance, transport, telecom and retail sectors in the UAE/GCC.
