Job description / Role
Our client is a leading engineering consultancy and is looking to hire a Business Development Manager in Kuwait.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
To promote the acquisition of new clients through identifying new business opportunities, particularly across the G.C.C. region.
DETAILED ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist top management in the development of an annual corporate Business Development Plan
- Assist top management in planning strategies for new business opportunities based on an understanding of competitors strategies, pricing trends and policies
- Enhance the level of market intelligence, information gathering and marketing efforts related to new regional business opportunities
- Assist in the opening of branches across the G.C.C. region
- Assist the General Manager in the search for business development opportunities in the regional market through liaising with a personal and professional network of contacts
- Collaborate with the General Manager in identifying business development opportunities with existing clients and map market dynamics such as market and pricing trends
- Manages and builds on relationships with managers and key executives of existing companies and governmental authorities to enhance overall business development efforts: ensure the General Manager is apprised
- Conduct market studies to in order to demonstrate how the company can grow in regional markets
- Manage public relations and client interface to promote a positive corporate image among the firms existing and potential clients and markets
- Analyze current and past market performance in coordination with top management
- Participate in proposal preparation and presentations and negotiations with clients or potential partners
- Develop and maintain a motivated and stable team
- Identify training and development needs for the staff and agree on the training and development plans
- Coach and mentor resources to take on higher responsibilities within the firm
Requirements
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- 10-15 years experience in similar position
TECHNO-FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of local regulations and guidelines
- Knowledge of local and international markets and clients
- Knowledge of the model design process
- Business Management skills
