Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibility:
Business Development / Content & Partner Management – Finding, negotiating and managing partners to help source and deliver content
• Responsible for operating NL services in the country. Service Operations include all aspects of establishing NL, (e.g. content refreshments, partner management for content licensing, billing and delivery of the service, etc.)
• Works closely with CPs, SPs and Operators to ensure that integration occurs within the agreed timeframes and that operational metrics are applied for quality, and consistency
• Manage co-marketing and building channel programs for consumer acquisition via partner channel and infrastructure, this will be key to drive lowest cost of subscriber acquisition for NL
• Leads partner negotiations with content, billing, aggregators etc.
• Partner selection / set up for aggregating content from multiple sources, validating content, providing editorial inputs and customising content for delivery based on the consumer profiles on a daily basis
• Works with the relevant operator teams providing direction to build the NLT game plan in the cluster. Actively involved in operator negotiations along with the operator account teams

Product Management - Building and managing a locally relevant services portfolio across all verticals:
• Is responsible for identifying the service opportunities across the multiple services (Agri, Education, Health, Jobs, entertainment) mapped to specific target consumer groups. This will involve evaluating the gaps in the current services eco-system locally and estimating the overall business opportunity.
• Inputs in to the service roadmapping and portfolio management process to drive the Cluster requirements. The product management function in his team provides the local insight across the multiple verticals into the NLT global product management team.
• Ensures that the NL services portfolio is widely available across the range of relevant devices during the entire device lifetime. This is critical in growing the NL installed base
• Works with Global Product Management, local Service Delivery teams and NL cluster Partners to facilitate in capturing requirements for feeding into product/service features and roadmaps, as well as provide timely inputs to enable product/service creation of products in the pipeline.
• Coordinates with the cluster sales team, operator teams, CARE & NL partners in identifying & managing day-to-day service operations issues. Works closely with the NL technical manager to ensure resolution of service operational issues.
• Proactively checks service related costs on a regular basis (e.g., content delivery related costs, consumer CARE costs, operator costs etc., and notifies the relevant NL functions for corrective action)
• Aligns with the local content & business managers in helping validate identified service opportunities for the country and contributes to building content portfolio roadmap
• Inputs in to the service roadmapping, user experience and portfolio management process along with the OL Head, to capture the market requirements and feeding back to the relevant global teams

Other
• Constantly evaluates new opportunities for growth in the country
• Tracks awareness, usage and preference of the service and provides inputs for service evolution and/or ramp-down of specific elements of the service.
• Serves as a domain expert on the services for the lower end devices and evangelizes the ‘Internet services for the Next Billion’ representing Nokia in industry associations, forums and seminars.
• Tracks local competitive offerings and develops the counter messages.

• Partnering with a win-win approach will be crucial to exploit the partners’ sales channel and marketing initiatives. This will need close co-operation with the Markets teams in the Region and Area
Professional & Process Skills
• University degree in technology, Marketing or Business
• Broad understanding of marketing, service creation, mobile communication, Internet services, media and entertainment industries, consumer electronics, experiences & solutions business
• Knowledge about key customers and competitors
• Understanding Nokia strategy and Categories business targets and goals and how to align activities to meet them.
• We are looking for candidates with 10+ yrs of total experience with last 5-6 yrs of relevant BD experience in Telecom/Operators.
• Telecom domain / Operator experience is a mandate.
