Job Description

Job Purpose:

* To identify either through existing client referral or personal networking and research private client relationships with investible assets of $3m+
* Identify and, where appropriate, make an initial approach to suitable prospective clients and introduce them to the best suited PvB RM for relationship management
* Actively promote the services of the Standard Chartered Bank Group

Key Roles & Responsibilities

* Lead and execute the agreed Private Banking strategy for Qatar
* Achieve agreed referral AUM target and new to PvB relationships
* Identify potential new business through client referrals and prospecting in Qatar:
a. Engage with HNW/UHNW clients and assist them to meet their personal financial objectives. For every prospect identify profile and potential financial services needs.
b. Engage CEO, Corporate & Institutional head and RMs and Priority RMs to solicit Individuals and families who are owners/sponsors of existing Corporate & Institutional and Commercial segment clients and or existing Priority Banking clients
c. Attract new to bank clients whose profile is consistent with the Bank's strategy
* Work with the nominated Private Banker and product specialists to prepare an agreed strategy plan to meet the prospect needs identified
* Assist PvB RM's in preparing for and conducting meetings with prospects
* Ensure that all bank policies and procedures, including anti-fraud and anti money laundering procedures are complied with

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

* Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and sales skills.
* Deep knowledge of Qatar market and communities
* Strong network of contacts across Qatar
* Ability to deal with all levels of people and all cultures
* 10-15 years experience in Banking or Financial Services
* Ability to work alone, exercising initiative and judgement, and as part of a team
* Needs to be self-motivator with a can-do attitude who is keen to advance themselves and to improve their personal knowledge and skills to meet the job requirements
