Employment: Full Time

An established international law firm is seeking a professional Senior Business Development Coordinator to work alongside the BD Manager, Office Managing Partner, and local department and practice chairs to develop and implement marketing strategies and local business development programs for the office. The Senior Coordinator acts as a mentor to the Coordinators and Assistants in the BD Department and plays a lead project management role in specific areas as assigned.

Responsibilities and Duties
* Acts as a marketing/business development resource to individual attorneys and local teams, as requested.
* Leads the development and production of pitch books and presentations. Ensures the post-pitch follow up process is completed.
* Leads and drafts responses to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposals (RFP). Leads global pitch teams.
* Works with the Manager and PR Team to coordinate public relations and publicity opportunities.
* Develops relationships with other professional service providers for prospective referrals and/or event co-sponsorship opportunities.
* Leads and organizes special events such as panel/speaking engagement opportunities for attorneys.
* Provides competitor research to assist the Manager in making recommendations for the Office.
* Coordinates with Practice Development and Managers to organize, develop, and execute various global business development plans.
* Works with local office and global practice and industry groups to develop and execute BD and Marketing plans, including, cross selling and client targeting programs.
* Updates and maintains local practice profiles and descriptions for use in marketing materials, the website.
* Works with the Manager, Social Media Specialist and others as appropriate to develop the firm's social media presence as it relates to the office.
* Participates in community projects or local civic, professional, or business organizations.
* Assists with training new BD Assistants and Coordinators by becoming a mentor and providing ongoing support.
* Develops, organizes and leads training and development calls for BD Department Coordinator group.
* Coordinates with other areas / departments of the firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures / communications to stream-line processes and satisfy various department needs.
* Organizes and leads special projects on various issues as needed to completion.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 5 years related experience in marketing.
* 2 years relevant work experience at a law firm.
* Experience with pitch book preparation, market/company research, drafting and management of RFP/RFI responses, design and implementation of events, and project management preferred.
* Well developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
* Excellent communication skills and sound organizational skills.
* Advanced knowledge in PC applications, including MS Office, InterWoven, and InterAction.
* High level of attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
