Business Finance Manager - Property - Kuwait

The Property Division manages all aspects of Alshaya's 2,750 store retail property portfolio for our 70+ brands across 19 countries. The property division is split into 3 areas, Real Estate, Project Management and Facilities Management (FM). The Division holds regular reviews on store performance and drives real estate portfolio maximisations to ensure it meets the company's and brands' expectations in regard to quality and profitability. With 425 new stores opened in 2014, and with 430 new stores and 200 refurbishments planned for 2015, the work is fast-paced and dynamic. The team structure is split by region, ensuring your exposure across a number of international blue chip brands.

The Role:
As Business Finance Manager you will drive the annual business planning and budgeting process, ensuring that budgets and targets are realistic, stretched and reflect actual business potentials. Within your segment, you will be the first point of contact for all financial reporting and planning. You will also have responsibility for monitoring on-going performance, tracking achievements and highlighting variances. Additionally, you will advise your region on preventive measures, corrective actions and reinforcements as required.

Other responsibilities include:
* Providing financial and commercial guidance to regional teams
* Managing a team of accountants and analysts for the region to ensure that day to day processing of purchase orders and invoices are completed in a timely and accurate manner
* Ensuring strict compliance with internal policies and procedures as per Levels of Authority
* Steering the financial direction of the business, and undertaking all strategic financial planning and reporting to stakeholders.

Requirements

* 3- 5 years' experience within commercial finance environment
* A university degree and professional financial qualification such as CIMA, ACA, CFA, CPA
* Recent line management experience
* Retail and/or FMCG experience (desirable)
* Experience in multi brand business and gulf region (desirable)
* Excellent relationship building, communication and presentation skills
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems like Oracle and SAP.
