Business Head – Sales & Marketing

Job description / Role

A large conglomerate in the automotive industry with offices in the Gulf and operations in the MENA regions is seeking a senior sales and marketing professional to head their business in Libya, manage customer relationships and their sales and services team.

Requirements

Reporting to the COO, the role is strategic in nature and entails setting vision, strategies, policies and procedures for sales & marketing to achieve the region’s business objectives and long-term plans.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Control, minimize and efficiently manage the allocated resources of the business.
• Manage the sales department and sales managers
• Manage services staff and the parts team.
• Actively engage in the Dealer development process.
• Fulfil all managerial responsibilities.
• Responsible for P&L
• Execute all aspects of sales and marketing activities, such as brand management, positioning, pricing, communications & marketing promotion.
• Effective Co-ordination with HQ and other departments across the organization to devise and implement new business strategies.
• Support various HR initiatives as and when required.

To be considered for this role:

• Must have BE, B Tech- or any other Bachelors’ Degree qualification.
• Result oriented professional with a minimum 5 years of proven track record in leading a profit centre of a similar magnitude.
• Hands on experience in the sale and after sales of passengers cars.
• Automotive industry experience is mandatory and Middle East market experience highly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience
• The ideal candidate is resilient and has an aggressive sales track record
• A go-getter and ability to manage multicultural teams.
• Have leadership qualities.
• Fluency in English is must and Arabic highly preferred.
• The incumbent must have the ability to strategize on marketing and sales, capable of leveraging on after sales, planning & seamless execution of marketing & after sales strategies independently.
