Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

* Supporting CEO in managing work load and assisting the day to day running and management of the CEO's office and related activities.
* Supporting the CEO UAE in ensuring key business objectives are followed up and delivered.
* Supporting the effective governance and oversight of the UAE by the CEO and the CMG
* Assisting the CEO in developing, implementing, communicating, driving and refreshing strategies and key initiatives with the ultimate aim of meeting overall strategic priorities for the UAE and delivering business priorities;
* Working as required on key strategy, delivery and governance initiatives

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Support CEO in managing work load of strategic matters and assist the day to day running and management of the CEO's office and related activities.
* Undertake rapid turnaround pieces of work to address specific issues; responsibility for end-to-end delivery
* Quality assure pieces of work for CEO, including briefings for meetings
* Support the CEO in managing key internal stakeholder relationships and conversations
* Working with the PA to the CEO UAE to prepare for meetings and deal with issues as they arise

Development and Deliveryof the UAE Collective Agenda
* Track effective implementation and identify blockages and develop potential courses of action
* Undertake work on priority projects for the UAE business.

Business Management
* Work with the PA in managing the agenda for CMG meetings, follow up with rolling agendas and action items.
* Manage CEO budgets in relation to CEO internal and external engagement activities.

Prioritisation and Effective Follow-up
* Work with the CEO and the PA to prioritise and address key day-to-day issues as they emerge to ensure no balls are dropped;
* Driving follow-up action coming out of key meetings

Governance and Oversight
* Assist the CEO to drive improvement of governance environment: working on governance and oversight issues
* Work with key UAEstakeholders plus team of Head of Governance, West to identify and work on key issues of business process improvement. Work could include supporting major process improvement initiatives or undertaking discreet pieces of work on process issues

Communication
* Work with Corporate Affairs in developing CEO internal communication agenda
* Support the CEO's and Africa's communication strategy

Organisation and Preparation
* Confidentially review select papers as required by CEO
* Preparatory work for key meetings
* Work with PA to UAECEO to help develop and execute long-term travel schedule, support preparation for key visits etc

Requirements

* Good knowledge/experience of UAE business is preferred.
* Successfully managing stakeholders at senior and/or middle levels.
* Some experience of managing projects would be advantageous.
* Strong organisational skills
* Disciplined and robust with a high level of attention to detail
* Energetic, able to work at a fast past against changing priorities and juggle multiple objectives
* Able to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders
* Strong writing and communication skills; Arab language skills will be viewed as extremely advantageous.
