Job description / Role
One of my clients, a large ICT company in the Middle East is looking for Business Unit Managers from IT Products background. (Networking, Laptops, Computers, Servers, Storage, Softwares, etc)
The role is Research oriented and needs someone with a thorough knowledge in IT products. Must have a good understanding / experience of the ICT MEA market.
Manage part of the SIS reseach program for MEA region (covering Servers, Storage and Security Appliances space); co-ordinate with the regional team and resources;
Conduct primary and secondary market research and analyze business and market trends for MEA region;
Work with quantitative market sizing and forecasting analytical tools;
Prepare thorough and well-organized reports, writing of summaries, publications & conclusions;
Contribute to/Lead consulting project engagements;
Public speaking and periodic public presentations at events and clients is involved;
Play a role in business development by building and maintaining industry relationships and assisting in sales efforts.
Requirements
Product management or business unit management background at HW vendor or provider and/or relevant work experience in market and/or equity research in the HW/SIS field;
University degree from a well-recognised university;
Knowledge of the MEA ICT markets;
Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is advantage;
Industry-specific knowledge (HW/SIS markets industry) is a plus;
A male candidate is preferred due to extensive travel throughout the region.
A candidate has to be able to demonstrate:
An understanding of the IT industry, and in particular of HW/SIS markets;
Ability to discuss and analyze technical issues;
An aptitude for business analysis or quantitative analysis;
Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
Excellent writing and presentation skills;
Good interviewing skills and communication style;
Proficiency with Excel and other Office software packages.
