Buyer (Sports Equipment)

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a GCC based fashion and sports brand. Our client is looking to hire an energetic and enthusiastic Buyer (Sports Equipment) to be based in Qatar.

In this role you will be responsible for making key decisions throughout the buying process. You will select new products, review existing lines, find suppliers and negotiate prices as well as ensure that all products are consistently delivered on time. You will also maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers whilst constantly looking for new clients and opportunities. In addition, you will interpret reports, forecast future sales stock and coordinate all activities to ensure cost effective procurement of all merchandise.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have a relevant retail or business qualification coupled with experience in retail buying. You should have a strong passion for products and merchandise and possess excellent negotiation and influencing skills. Your merchant and retail abilities should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the market place, competitors and customer requirements.
