Toys R Us is the largest specialty toy store in the world. Launched by the Al-Futtaim Group in Dubai in 1995, Toys R Us now exist in twelve locations in the Gulf market and has emerged as undisputed market leader for all children related products.

The stores offer an unrivalled range of toys, games, sporting goods, electronics, software, baby products, children's apparel and juvenile furniture all under one roof.

Your key responsibilities will be:

* Ensuring that categories, within a Buying Group, are put together to achieve sales and margin targets of each category

* Reviewing all quotes and offers and ensuring that commercially prudent terms are agreed with vendors and these are complied with during execution of buying

* Analysing the impact of terms and negotiates commercially acceptable conditions

* Reviewing existing and new products within a category and putting together complete range of assortment within each category within a Buying Group

* Constantly monitoring toy industry for changing market trends by attending toy fairs, through trade magazines, and ensuring all new products are made available for a concept or a theme

* Monitoring and effectively managing the target margin for each category within a Buying Group

* Constantly monitoring inventory level and ensuring newness in inventory holdings

* Implementing a delivery system to ensure multiple turns of inventory

* Constantly reviewing and analysing of competition in different markets to identify potential areas of opportunity and threats

* Actively participating in finalising events and promotional campaigns

* Ensuring that the Event Management team isinformed of new trends in the market, exclusive products in offer, etc.

* Identifying products and themes for events

Requirements

Ideally you will come from a retail industry and you will be able to demonstrate:

* Previous category buying experience

* Knowledge, understanding and interest in toys products

* Excellent MS Excel skills

* Previous exposure to SAP or similar

* Excellent communication skills

* Planning and organising skills

* Analytical and negotiation skills

* Attention to details
