CAD-3D Max Operator - Retail Corporate

Job description / Role

Al-Futtaim's Retail Division holds a stable of world class brands operating in buoyant markets with huge growth prospects. Some of our brands are Marks & Spencer, Toys R Us, and IKEA as well as Robinsons with a range of smaller brands selected for their appeal to the markets in which we operate. We currently operate our Retail outlets across the Middle East and in South East Asia.

We have enjoyed phenomenal success throughout the UAE, Egypt and GCC countries. We are in the final stages of outline planning for massive growth and need to prepare for the next phase of this program.

We are recruiting a CAD-3D Max Operator to support the Design Management team by preparing conceptual design packs and Detail Design packs consisting of preliminary drawings, Detail drawings And 3D visuals

In this role you will be responsible for the following:

Concept Design

* Coordinating with Design team to receive the site surveys measurements and produce CAD drawings replicating the exact site dimensions. 

* Preparing all conceptual drawings in CAD under the guidance from the design team. In accordance to brand and landlord design criteria.
* Preparing all conceptual visuals in 3D MAX under the guidance from the design team. In accordance to brand and landlord design criteria.
* Incorporating all the design changes indicated by the brand/Design Team/Landlord
* Incorporating all new material specifications in coordination with the Design and Procurement team
* Coordinating and assisting the Design team for research on new concepts and innovative ideas.

Detail Design

* Preparing all detail design drawings in CAD under the guidance from the design team. In accordance to brand and landlord design criteria and comments
* Providing the necessary details to design team to be sent to various 3rd party consultants or suppliers.
* Incorporating the inputs of 3rd party suppliers and consultants in design drawing.
* Providing necessary information to the procurement team for procurement of the materials and preparation of BOQ. 

Management

* Manage the design folder in the common drive. To ensure the latest drawings are available to all the stake holders
* Filing of all design related information in terms of hard copies in respective files.
* Adhere to drawing timelines communicated by the design team
* Manage the material library and brand standard mood boards.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

* Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting from an accredited college
* Certification in Autcad 2007 or Higher, Certification in 3D Max or higher
* Strong experience in Adobe Photoshop, Coral Draw.
* Minimum three years' experience working in an Interior Design Office in the GCC in the capacity of an Auto cad technician & visualizer.
* REVIT knowledge is a plus
* Good speed in drafting drawings and operating 3d Max
* Strong understanding of interior related terminology
* Ability to work and develop construction details in coordination with the design team.
* Excellent communications skills
* Excellent planning and organizing skills
* Attention to details
