CAD Draftsman

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a renowned developer in the region who has been an instrumental part of Dubais development in the commercial, retail, hospitality, leisure and entertainment industries. Our client is looking to hire a CAD Draftsman to work on new commercial projects in Dubai.

Working in the Commercial Team, your main purpose will be to produce and prepare proposals of architectural drawings for new projects as well as visualise the projects architectural design for project development. You will prepare detailed architectural drawings for the project team to support the visualisation and proper guidance of idea visibility. You will also evaluate the drawings as per land development plans and company standards to ensure best quality drawings alignment. In addition, you will also collect design requirements from management teams regarding their design objective and develop the appropriate proposal to recommend different design options for the purpose of facilitating cost and benefits for the design visualisation.

Requirements

The successful candidate should have at least 6 years experience in preparing architectural drawings and design in which the majority is within a consultancy or contracting company related to commercial environments. You should hold a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architecture. It is essential you are English Speaking. You should also have experience in the UAE and possess extensive practical knowledge of AutoCAD, Photoshop and other software in design presentation. It is critical you have the knowledge and capability to propose creative conceptual designs.
