CAD Operator

Job description / Role

- To take sketches from CADD Supervisor and create new, or modify/revise existing CADD files using Intergraph Microstation Software v. 5.0 or higher to produce vectorised files, Intergraph IRAS v. 5.0 or higher to convert Raster scanned files to Vector or Hybrid files, or AutoCad release 12 software or higher to produce vectorised files.
- To liaise with CADD Supervisor to clarify ambiguities in drawings.
- Familiar with the latest Client and CADD Standards.
- To work with different formats (Digital, Raster, etc.)
- To work with minimum supervision, capable of performing yellow lines check on their own to guarantee accuracy and reduce rework.
- To take back-ups of work in progress as a security measure.
- To prepared to work a shift system.
- To make plot files, configure the plot, operate plotter and cut trim outputs.
- To give assistance to other CADD Operators as required.
- Take responsibility for keeping a tidy work area around the workstation as well as an orderly arrangement on the system, use accepted practice when setting up directories and sub-directories on the system, remember that the night shift have to be aware of how the system is configured
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

- ITI or 3 years Diploma courses in Engineering.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or Microstation and Smartplant
- At least 5 years experience in a multi-disciplinary role
