CAD Technician

Job description / Role

We are currently looking for degree level or at least a 3 year diploma qualified CAD Technicians to join our team in Doha, with a minimum of 8 years experience which must have been obtained whilst working on a highways, transport planning or infrastructure project.

Responsibilities

Completion of tasks received from engineers.
Analysis and manipulation of CAD data received from stakeholders and third parties.
Preparation of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Preparation of sketches & figures.
Adherence to project CAD manual.
Adherence to project quality procedures.

Requirements

Requirements

A degree level education or at least 3 year diploma.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in highways, transport planning or infrastructure projects.
Experienced user of AutoCAD and MicroStation software – minimum 3 years experience in each.
Ability to work without excessive supervision.
Ability for self checking & correction.
Able to produce quality work to the required standard.
Able to comply with CAD standards & quality assurance requirements.
Is reliable and able to use initiative.
An understanding of CAD/GIS interoperability and GIS technology would be beneficial but is not essential.
