Job description / Role
Mid-level CADD Designer to delivery on a variety of land development designs from initial site layout to preparation of final design drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Interpreting and creating 2D and 3D design drawings related to civil engineering projects.
- Preparation of Civil 3D design work for civil, site layout, pad design, rough grading, final grading, earthworks, and pipe networks.
- Preparation of design drawings including grading, utilities, plan and profiles, and details.
- Assist in development of specifications, quantity survey, cost estimates, and other documents as needed.
- Utilize technical standards manual to ensure compliance with international, local, and company codes/ policies.
- Conducts due-diligence for project sites to prevent conflicts related to property and utility conflicts.
- Resolve survey-related issues with respect to CAD design.
- Compile data and perform calculations for preparation of design drawings.
Requirements
- Minimum education includes an Associates degree in Drafting/ CADD or combination of certification and work experience proving qualifications.
- Minimum experience should include at least 8 years of professional design experience with AutoCAD including strong knowledge in Civil 3D.
- Proficiency in cartography, including coordinate systems, projections, and map scales.
- Experience with ArcGIS would be an advantage to interface with master planning activities. GIS activities would include assessing precision and accuracy of GIS data, and integrating non-GIS data with GIS applications. Ability to utilize, convert, and incorporate various types of data into GPS, CAD, and GIS.
- Candidate must be able to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Organizational skills and ability to work in teams is a must.
