The RoleThe RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a Major, Multi-Disciplinary organisation operating on a global scale with Interests in Oil & Gas EPC, Mining, Infrastructure and Power. Their Mining Business has been operating in Africa for some time and they are currently at exploration stage within multiple sites for Base Metal and Hydrocarbon resources. The current operation includes four sites, three on the Base Metal side and one for Hydrocarbons. The hydrocarbon site covers over 15,000 sq. km and they are looking to commence drilling within the next five months, at present there are 30 employees on the ground in Tanzania which will grow to 120+ as works progress. The CEO role will carry full P&L responsibility for the regional business as well as responsibility for business development, procurement and production. You will report directly to the main board based in the UAE and you will have multiple Project Directors reporting directly into you in each of the Base metal and Hydrocarbon divisions. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe successful candidate will come from either a Mining or Hydrocarbon background and will have extensive experience of working within the Africa region at a senior level. You must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of local legislation and will be experienced with dealing directly with relevant government bodies. As a minimum you will be educated to degree level in a relevant Engineering discipline and ideally you will hold further qualifications such as MSc/MBA. This is a senior role and as such offers an excellent tax free salary plus accommodation and transportation provided. |
