Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a large Dubai based family conglomerate with interests across a wide range of sectors. Their Real Estate businesses currently require an experienced Real Estate CFO to run their group of companies, which currently generate revenues in excess of US$2 billion.

The role will include the following duties:

- Manage the finance team of approximately 10 staff
- Maintain relationships with the banks for the purposes of raising finance
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission and help execute staff succession and growth plans.
- Train the Finance Unit and other staff on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters pertaining to the Real Estate sector
- Work with the Real Estate CEO and Group CFO on the strategic vision of the business
- Participate in identifying new funding opportunities, the drafting budgets, and determining cost effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is maintained
- Oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including: organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract/grant budgets.
- Oversee all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants.
- Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization and oversee federal awards and programs.

Requirements

Applicants must have the following:

MUST be a fully qualified chartered accountant
MUST have a Western education
MUST be CURRENTLY based in the UAE
MUST have extensive experience in the UAE Real Estate sector in a senior finance capacity
