The RoleThe RoleThis is a Key Strategic role with one of the most reputable successful businesses with annual turnover exceeding USD 1 Billion and operation in the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Europe… You will be reporting directly to the Group CEO. You main responsibilities will include: •define the company’s vision and objectives, drive communication of the vision, and monitor implementation of the company strategy •evaluate complex financial systems and joint ventures and efficiently formulate and install accounting methods, procedures, forms •formulate long-range fiscal planning, thorough knowledge of general laws and administrative policies governing investments and establishing and maintaining relationships with external assets managers and financial institutions In more details your responsibilities will be: •Plan, organize and direct the financial management of the company and activities of the finance department in compliance with all legal and ethical standards in all operating markets. •Recommend financial and accounting standards reporting requirements, policies and procedures to the CEO for review and approval. •Review and recommend annual business plans and budget submission for the company. •Supervise the administration of accounting, financial reporting, internal auditing, business performance management, revenue collections, risk management, and treasury & investment management for the company. •Ensure accurate and timely approval and recording of the company’s financial transactions, and overall integrity of the general ledger for the company. •Lead the financial feasibility of joint venture opportunities and determine adequate financing strategies, including debt and equity structuring strategies, both locally and internationally. •Responsible for the financial planning of various projects of the company. •Solicit and negotiate financing from capital markets and financial institutions and supervise relations and negotiations with them. •Serve as the primary interface with regulators and financial analysts and the press regarding the company’s financial performance. •Supervise the preparation of the financial statements required, including revenue projections. •Heads the IT function as well as finance. •Select, develop and lead a team of qualified professionals to manage different functions in finance and accounting. •Serve as the primary financial contact for the business with regulatory authority. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be considered for the role you must have/be: •Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/CFA/CA/CPA) •15-20 years’ experience with substantial experience as an FD/CFO at a group level in a large reputable business operating in different regions •Strong management skills including decision-making, negotiation, risk managements and interpersonal skills •Strong leadership skills, team orientation and desire to excel •Strong communication and presentation skills •Strong numerical, analytic and problem solving skills •Ability to evaluate complex financial systems and joint ventures and efficiently formulate and install accounting methods, procedures, forms and records within public listed companies •Strong financial reporting experience and exposure to regulatory authorities •Ability to formulate long-range fiscal planning, thorough knowledge of general laws and administrative policies governing investments and establishing and maintaining relationships with external assets managers and financial institutions |
