The RoleThe RoleOverview Our client, a multinational oil and gas company are looking for a Controller to head the whole finance, accounting and tax function in Iraq, Arbil. Managing the team of 16 people you will provide information to senior management on profitability improvement methods. This role is offering a very generous package, with housing and education allowance. The Role •Ensuring that monthly reports are prepared accurately •Preparing and analyzing the P & L for senior management •Preparing budgets and CAPEX control, contacting external auditors for the annual audit. •Monitoring cash flow to ensure successful and effective distribution of costs and funds. •Systems accounting – and ensuring that policies are adhered to, minimizing risk and improving productivity. •Assisting in preparing tax returns. •Responsible for employee training and performance management. |
RequirementsRequirements•MUST be an Arab speaker •Preferably from oil and gas background, construction is acceptable. •Understanding of US GAAP, SOX and IFRS •Good knowledge of JD Edward •Must have accounting qualification |
