The Role


The Role


The ideal candidate for CFO position will meet the following minimum requirements:
- University degree in accounting, or equivalent relevant experience. An MBA is a plus.
- An accredited and currently certified CPA or similar accreditation.
- Working knowledge of International Accounting Standards for banks.
- Familiarity with Accounting and Auditing Standards for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI)
- Extensive experience in a bank in financial control or similar function covering:
o Financial management and planning.
o Financial control.
o Budgeting.
o Financial reporting.
o Regulatory reporting.
o Managing and producing MIS reports and facilitating timely business decisions.
o Implementing performance monitoring tools for the organization and for individual business units.
o Capital planning and resource management.
o Managing compliance with equity markets regulations and reporting requirements.

Candidates with the following added qualifications will be given preference:
- Familiarity with MISYS “Equation” banking platform.
- Bilingual (English-Arabic).
- Prior Islamic Banking experience.
- Prior work experience in the GCC.
