Head of department role for a large GCC based Group
• Oman Location
• Exceptional salary package
Oman, is known as the jewel of the GCC. With a booming oil and gas market and large infrastructure and structural developments underway in the country, many people are choosing Oman for their next career move. Our client, a leading regional producer of cement, and the biggest producer in Oman, and United Arab Emirates, is currently seeking a COO to oversee all operations in Oman and UAE, and expand into new markets in the MENA region.
Reporting directly to the Board your responsibilities will include:
• Ensure efficient operations and production to meet required output
• Oversee production planning and utilization
• Continuously improve productivity and processes of plant machinery and personnel
• Oversee inventory and materials management and procurement
• Develop and oversee all HSSE policy and procedure
• Create group-wide infrastructure and guidelines to support initiatives to improve safety and monitor their outcomes
• Manage new projects and entries into new markets through all steps of required process
• Develop and manage an Operations Excellence team that will continually work towards continuous improvement in all areas of operations and production
Requirements
Attributes we seek:
• MBA or Masters from a recognised university
• Bachelor degree in Engineering
• 15+ years experience working in senior level operations roles within the Cement industry
• Strong background working within GCC , Europe or African markets
• Excellent communication and creative ability
• Proven presentation and strategic thinking ability
• Proven ability for developing new process and procedure to enhance operational efficiency
• Proven project management ability.
