Employment: Full Time

Objectives:
Performs imaging procedures utilizing computerized tomography scanners

Main responsibilities:
- Reviews exam orders/requisitions, reviews corresponding protocol and, if needed, asks questions of superior(s) and prepares for exams
- Explains procedures to patients. Prepares equipment, supplies, contrast media and medications
- Positions patient and attaches or adjusts immobilizing and shielding devices to ensure precise patient position, patient comfort, and to minimize patient exposure to x-rays
- Adjusts and operates computerized tomographic imaging equipment to scan designated anatomical areas. Sets computer controls and laser camera to produce proper images

Requirements

- University Qualifications: Graduation from a professional program in Radiologic Technology/Radiologic Sciences (two years) required, for non-Saudis. For Saudi nationals, 4 years Bachelor degree in Radiological technology is required
- Other certifications obtained: Registration with The American Registry of Radiographic Technologists for the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists or equivalent for non-Saudis.
- Nature and length of previous experience: Two (2) years of hospital radiology experience in CT is required or successful completion of specialized training in KFSH for new graduates.
- Language Fluency: English
