Job description / Role
The candidate should be a graduate electrical engineer with minimum 10 years of relevant experience in:
- Design review of MV, HV and EHV cable project engineering documents
- Review of calculations for electrical and thermal performance of the cable system including current carrying capacity, overload, induced voltages, short-circuit currents, impedances, etc.
- Review of design for the cable system including schematic diagrams, grounding system design and conceptual civil work design
- Verification of technical feasibility and compliance with specification of the different cable systems
- Validation of specific calculation procedures
- Familiar with relevant international standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
Requirements
Technical support to the Pre-Contract and Project Delivery teams on matters concerning the design, construction and operation of cable networks and associated equipment
- Technical evaluation of tender submissions and reporting recommendations to client
- Lead the technical resolution of site/construction cable related issues
- Review of project quality documentation following all IEC, client quality processes and provide and meet deliverables for PQPs
- Participate in meetings with clients and contractors when needed
- Maintain an awareness of technological advances and industry best practice
- Knowledge of health & safety requirements and compliance.
