Cadd Draughtsman - GIS Expert

Job description / Role

Create detailed drawings and models for GIS Mapping and MEP products, requiring the application of drafting and digitizing techniques, procedures, criteria and standards to ensure requirements are effectively translated into production operational needs.
GIS Mapping will be related to street services.

Core Competencies:
- Able to program GIS to find conflicts in services based on planned new and existing road layouts
- Ability to understand detailed MEP layout issues and recommend appropriate / affordable solutions.
- Ability to produce and amend GIS digitized maps.
- Ability to review existing drawings and adapt as necessary.
- Interpreting changes to relate to the context and circumstances of the work that is being detailed.
- Spatial reasoning and ability to carry out 3D geometrical modeling & calculations. (not essential)

Requirements

- Qualification to Diploma / ITI level
- Knowledge in MEP draughting
- Knowledge in GIS Mapping and Digitization.
- CAD training to advanced level (3D & 2D)
- Planning and scheduling capability
- Appreciation of the operational and production environments

Experience:
- 3 years MEP/GIS mapping or related experience.
- 2 years using 3D AutoCAD.
- Related experience for street works would be an advantage.
