A member of the Al-Futtaim Group of companies since 1998, the Marks & Spencer Al-Futtaim franchise partnership currently operates 12 stores located in the United Arab Emirates, making the Yas Island our 13th UAE location. Marks & Spencer offers an extensive range of stylish, high quality products including womenswear, lingerie, menswear, kidswear, home, beauty, and food.We are looking to recruit Cafe Assistants to join our team in M&S Cafe, located in YAS Island, Abu Dhabi store.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Maintaining aspirational Hospitality and Fresh Counter standards throughout the trading day for customers and colleagues.
- Ensuring products are displayed according to visual display standards for opening and maintained at all time.
- Preparing the product for the customer in line with area requirements focusing on presentation, quality and efficiency.
- Maintaining a high level of personal and food hygiene at all times.
- Supporting customers with their purchase, including location of products, nutritional content, size, how it differs from the competition and price range, etc.
- Promoting deals and offers, up sell and offer perfect partner products.
- Helping the customers to shop via the different options e.g. Cake orders, Take away service
- Providingtargeted product tasting to educate customers, increase product awareness and increase sales where applicable.
- Carryingout simple counts, utilizing stock file report and completes full bi-weekly stock count.
- Maintaining the cold chain and frozen temperature requirements.
- Ensuring all legal ticketing and decor within section is delivered to policy.
- Delivering a safe working environment for both customers and colleagues.
- Carrying out price checking, actions red alerts.
- Ensuringall transactions comply with product restriction laws.

Requirements

To be successful in winning this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

* Minimum of 1-2 years of retail/ F&B sales experience.
* Customer service skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills ideally in multiple languages.
* Familiarity with computer use.
* Good presentation and excellent personal organisation.
* F&B hygiene knowledge and certification.
* Comfort with shifts.
* Comfort with physical work.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Pridein achieving individual targets.
* Flexibility and punctuality.
