The RoleThe RoleThe objective of this position is to provide guidance and support to students on all issues related to careers and internships. Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Work with the direct manager to develop and implement employment outreach plans related to internships and placements. Compile and maintain a calendar of annual recruiting activities such as career fairs and liaise with External Relations Department to participate. Support the direct manager to solicit internship and summer job opportunities for students through various means including, but not limited to, on-site visits, mail campaigns, alumni solicitations and presentations. Consult with employer representatives to schedule on campus recruiting activities including scheduling interviews. Continuously liaise with academic departments to prepare students for internships and recruitment processes. Provide information to students regarding career directions on internship and career opportunities available, support students in establishing career plans and objectives consistent with their educational qualifications. RequirementsRequirementsMasters in Educational Counseling or Bachelor of Education in Career Counseling with a Diploma in Career and Work Counseling studies. A minimum of five (5) years experience coordinating student internships and placement, preferably in higher education setting. Experienced in administering and interpreting vocational assessment tools. Exceptional command of English language. Fluency in Arabic is an asset. |
